I remember the exact day that I realized the truth to our motto. It was my sophomore year, and I had just moved into an off-campus apartment with two roommates (both of whom had boyfriends who they stayed with regularly). I hated staying alone - really hated staying alone. Every noise was an intruder, and every car that drove by was somebody aiming to intrude. I spent an afternoon complaining to one of my sisters, Maria, when she offered to camp out in my living room with me whenever my roommates were MIA (which was often). She literally came to my apartment 5 out of 7 days a week and just crashed with me and my cat. It was that semester that I made the best friend I&#8217;ve ever had, and created the most incredible memories with. What was so special about it to me was that Maria had no hesitations. It was just &#8220;Oh, you don&#8217;t like staying alone? I obviously need to help you by staying there with you.&#8221; She was there for me in the strangest time of need, living our motto. What does &#8220;We live for each other&#8221; mean to you??
